Behind the Scenes Admin Volunteer - Croydon

Location: London

When: Mondays 10.00am - 12.00pm

Role reports to: Housing Coach

You will contribute to ending homelessness by

Enabling members to gain work experience in various aspects of the retail and hospitality sectors, build self-confidence, sell their designs, arts and crafts and be active in their local communities. You will do this by supporting the Enterprise Training team with the administration of our Café and Retail training programmes taster sessions: Behind The Scenes (BTS) Days. 

 

 

  • Good communication skills (including telephone skills and written communication)  
  • Good administrative and organisational skills  
  • Proficient IT skills Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel and the internet, including social media platforms  
  • An understanding of the importance of confidentiality and maintaining boundaries  

 

  • Workplace experience in a national organisation 
  • Induction to the role and the organisation 
  • On the job training and any other relevant training

  • Create, proofread and maintain documents using Microsoft 365  
  • Use internal and external software to register members for accreditation and distribute certificates  
  • Communicating invitations and journey planning information to Members  
  • Assist with internal communications – creating small articles and updates on Behind the Scenes days 
  • Maintain internal collaboration sites on Microsoft Office SharePoint  
  • Liaising with the café and Shops teams  
  • Ordering resources for Behind the Scenes days
