Crisis at Christmas Guest Support Volunteer

Location: Liverpool

When: Mondays 10.00am - 12.00pm

Role reports to: Christmas Manager

You will contribute to ending homelessness by

Supporting the coordinators to improve guests' access to Crisis at Christmas and their engagement in services.  You will be assisting in the implementation of a plan of tailored services and helping to increase guest’s knowledge of what is available to them year-round by sourcing information from external organisations.

 

 

  • Knowledge of and interest in the issues surrounding homelessness
  • The ability to think creatively about what we can offer our guests
  • Good IT skills (experience of using Excel would be an advantage)
  • Good written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to plan workloads juggling multiple tasks and responsibilities
  • Ability to work in a busy team and to tight deadlines

 

 

  • Experience of working with a major UK Charity on a high profile and large scale project

  • To assist with the planning and delivery of the Crisis at Christmas Services Volunteering programme.

  • To identify and encourage a wide range of specialist volunteers to volunteer at Crisis at Christmas.

  • To source information to increase guest participation with year-round-services

  • Assist with preparing and collating the equipment and materials required to run the Services programme.

  • To work with the Guest Support Coordinator to update materials that help guests to engage with Crisis at Christmas

  • To support the Guest Support Coordinator in the administration of guest referrals in and out of the CC residential centres

  • Assisting with the development and delivery of volunteer training and supporting information.

  • To attend meetings and CC volunteer training sessions as required
